Customers that sign up to Sainsbury’s Energy online will receive £25 Gift card, delivered  to your door. If you take both gas and electricity from Sainsbury’s Energy, you could also earn up to 4,700 Nectar Points, the store claims.

There are three steps to switching:

1. Visit the website.  Have your old bills handy, as you may need a meter reference number.

2. Fill in your details.

3. Sainsbury's will contact you for a meter reading and will usually start supplying your energy within 6-8 weeks.
