Direct Line is to offer new customers 12 months' car or van insurance for the price of 10, the insurer has announced today. Maggie Game, head of car insurance at Direct Line, said: "We are not on price comparison websites so we don't pay them commissions. This means that when you come to us direct we could give you savings." The offer is also available to commercial van owners wishing to insure their vehicle with Direct Line.
